Whether you need more or less exposure will depend on the shape of the feature.
If the feature is a positive feature, like a thin wall or prong that sticks out, then you may need more exposure to ensure that the feature forms.
If the feature is a negative feature, like a hole or embossed text, then you may need less exposure to ensure that the surrounding material doesn’t bleed over the feature.
The easiest way I’ve found to increase the printable exposure range when an object has both positive and negative features is to ensure that the resin is richly pigmented and expose more. Increase the exposure until all your positive features are forming, then increase pigmentation until the negative features are distinct.
