Reply To: Thin Film Of Exposed Resin On Vat Bottom Making Long Print Times Fail

Panagiotis,

Based on my observation, I think reflected white light is not that significant compare to ambient light in display frame area from the projector.

As I mentioned in previous reply, I tried to change gamma, brightness in my PC and the projector, it didn’t really make any big difference to the ambient light brightness.

What I am going to try tonight is that I will try to use “ND filter” in front of the project lens to block (or lower) the ambient light from the project. That will obviously reduce the ambient light as well as real part light.

In theory, when I lowred brightness, the ambient light was not changed much. So, I guess even I higher the brightness, that will not increase ambient light neither. Only one concern that the filter UV totally. I hope it doesn’t.

So, I will test with “ND filter” with high brightness. Even though, I need to increase exposure some seconds, but that will not increase exposure resin to ambient light that much.

I will see what will happen.
