Reply To: Non-Settling Pigment – 1.5 micron molybdenum disulfide
An update from my last post:I got the MoS2 and have been using it with 3DM-XGreen exclusively. Since this resin is so viscous, I have not noticed any settling whatsoever. I have been using about 0.5%...

I generally don’t find that pigments significantly change exposure times. I mostly print big parts and don’t really measure out my pigment that precisely, I just kind of sprinkle some in until it looks...
View ArticleCastable resin purple?
Hey guys, Quick question did you happen to come across a castable resin which is purple or violet? I had a chat with my jeweler and he mentioned that not long ago somebody asked them if they can cast a...

I’ve been doing most of my prints with XGreen. The parts I print are small enough that the price difference per part between 3DMABS and 3DMXGreen is insignificant. Also, because my parts are small, I...

I’ve long added small amounts of pigment (in the 0.5% range) to all kinds of different resins with good result. Generally, I don’t find that adding pigment alters exposure, but does allow me to...

With regards to the brightness/contrast: Generally don’t change those settings. The projector should already give you the brightest image when projecting 100% white light. If you increase brightness...

You don’t have to use Photonic3D as the print controller, the zip output from SLAcer.js will work with the current Kudo3D control software.

If you need external supports, you’ll need to use MeshMixer for that. You can probably use MeshMixer instead of Cura for the whole layout process in that case.
